About the Artist

I make work at the intersection of image, memory, and place.

My background is in cultural-linguistic anthropology, with threads of archaeology and environmental thinking — all of which taught me to look closely at language, artifacts, and the landscapes that hold them. I’ve always been drawn to the quiet presence of old things—cave paintings, pottery shards, moss-covered stones—and to the stories we tell about where we come from.

Much of my art grows out of that gaze. It’s an ongoing inquiry into how the landscapes around us shape us — and how we might learn to listen more carefully to them. I work slowly, often in series, tracing themes of ancient memory, nonverbal knowing, and the wild intelligence of place.

What I make isn’t always literal. It’s not meant to teach. It’s meant to notice — and to invite noticing.
